Have you ever saved a document but then forgot what file it was in? Then you spend much too long searching for it if you ever want to see it again. Doing a search for it MIGHT find it. But if you are looking for EDI, for example, there are many documents which might have EDI in it, whether or not it has anything to do with EDI. So your search results may be full of 'junk'.

With tags you can narrow down a document search to only those which actually have something to do with your subject.

PERSONALLY, TAGS HELP ME FIND WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR MUCH MORE QUICKLY THAN SEARCHING DOES.

Each of the Communities (Glass Software, Internet Marketing Services, Glass Industry and Support) all have a Tag Cloud on their main pages. This will help you target information quickly. The larger the word, the more often it is used. Click on one to take you to a list of documents, discussions and blogs that have information specifically about the subject you have chosen.

There is also a Tag Cloud for the whole GTS Community Portal. To find it, at the top of your screen click on BROWSE > TAGS.
